The Death of a Dragon
That feeling was overwhelming. She never thought it would feel that way. Sure she felt a sharp pain in her chest, right were the hunter had pointed his weapon, and after that a shiver that made her body tremble, but then
then everything seemed to explode inside her as if the fire she hosted, her very essence burst with an energy she could never have even imagined.
All limits disappeared and her emotions, all of them, took over. No reason, no logic, nothing. She saw the face of her beloved Sharash, her mate for over a thousand years, and smiled gently. She had loved him so much and they had been so happy together. She heard his voice, such a sad voice now. But what had been done had no undoing so she whispered goodbye. The world seemed to fade away .With her soul tangled in those flames bound with emotions she let herself go. An ancient yearning was guiding her on the path to the stars were the essence of all the other dragons before her laid.
Her heart had burnt so hard that it had turned into the most pure and perfect diamond-Ashra. Her name engraved into its cold sparkles to be seen only by those who knew how to look.
